Only 1 opening left in each of my Stampers 30 Clubs

Card5.2_edited-2 I still have 1 opening in each of my 2 Stampers 30 Clubs – and I'm wondering if YOU might be the person we've been waiting for?!?

Well I suppose you probably won't know until I explain how it works, huh?  So here goes……..

We have two groups of stampers that each meet monthly.  One group meets here at my house, and the other meets at a Community Center in Oak Harbor.  The members of each Club have made commitments to each other that they each will turn in a $30 (minimum) order each month at our get-together – and then I submit all of those orders together as if they had come from a workshop.  The term of each Club runs for one year (actually, 10 months, as there are a couple of "optional-purchase" months during the year), and during each of those 10 months a different Club member gets to claim the hostess benefits generated by the combined total sales at her Club that month.

So while the submittal of each member's monthly order is not optional (since each "hostess" in turn depends on all 10 orders counting towards her hostess benefits), attendance at the actual meeting itself is not mandatory.  But I find that most members generally *want* to come – because I provide complimentary make & takes!  Card4.1

The two samples shown here were the make & take projects from our Stampers 30 Club meetings in September.

So if this sounds like something you'd like to participate in, and you think you might be one of our 2 missing members, please check out my Calendar of Events (link is over in the left-hand column) – or contact me for more particulars.

World Card Making Day Stampers are published; is your name included?

I have finally published that list I've been meaning to get to that shows the numbers of cards we each made between October 3rd and October 11th – the dates I held my October Stamp-a-Stacks – plus one week.  Technically, Stampin' Up!® ran their World Card Making Day special from October 4th through the 11th, but since I held 2 of my 3 Stamp-a-Stacks on the 3rd, I figure that gets to count, too – don't you?!?

So the numbers showing down at the bottom of the left-hand column are based upon the numbers y'all reported to me – the last time you reported.  I KNOW we're missing some names because there were people at my Stamp-a-Stacks who didn't sign my tally sheet, ANd I'll bet *some* of you may have gone home and made even more cards later in the week.  So it's not too late to contact me and report your updated numbers.  Just email me or click on the "comments" link at the bottom of the message and include your first name, last initial, city and state, and the numbers of cards you made during World Card Making Day (or WEEK, as I personally think it ought more appropriately be called, lol!)

Anyone reading this posting is qualified to report – whether you're a current customer or downline of mine or not.  Let's just see how high we can get that total number, ok?  Right now I can account for 89 cards, but I KNOW we did more than that right here with my Stamp-a-Stack participants over the World Card Making weekend!  So don't be shy; just click the comments link or shoot me an email, and let's hear from ya!

(BTW, so far the names listed don't show their cities and states.  But to date they're all from Whidbey Island.)

Another Uniquely Whidbey Business Expo weekend completed

I'm home and I'm tired, but I just wanted to thank all of you who visited me at my booth at the Uniquely Whidbey Business Expo this weekend.  It was really fun to see so many faces I recognized and have a chance to catch up a little bit with some of you I haven't seen since last year – or (ahem!) even longer.  Can you believe this was my *11th* annual Uniquely Whidbey Expo?!?

And a special welcome to those of you who found me for the first time, too! If you signed up for my emailed newsletter, I will be sending you that cute little emailed gift I promised within the next several days.  Please be watching your inbox for it!

Oh, and if you stopped by and did NOT yet sign up for my newsletter, it's not too late.  You can still do so by using the link in the upper left-hand corner.

Ok.  Now I'm off to an early bedtime.  The unpacking and sorting can wait until morning.

Happy Birthday to Us!

It's Stampin' Up!®'s 20th Birthday!  And we're throwing a birthday party!  Click on the picture to check out this special on birthday sets.  Its_our_birthday_graphic_a

And one more Big Shot sample……

P9280001 This uses the Naturally Serif Decorative Strip die, along with the Pumpkin #4 and Pumpkin Faces Sizzlits.  It *did* take me quite a while to get these letters aligned the way I wanted 'em, but in spite of that I've had a couple of people ask for this design for Stamp-a-Stack this weekend.  So yeah, I guess I'll put it out as an option, but I'll probably suggest taking the letters home to mount them!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Al Couch 100 card front_edited-1 Today was my Dad's birthday – one of those that end in "0" and are really special.  Unfortunately I gave him his card before I could get any pictures of it, but in the absence of pictures of THAT particular card, I thought I'd share a similar one I did a few years ago for a neighbor when he turned 100.  No, my Dad's not THAT old yet, but his card was designed similarly to the one I made for my neighbor.  Here are some pictures of that one.  (BTW, I'm sorry the resolution isn't better; I was still shooting low resolution back in those days.)100 candles - Right-hand end of card

Big Shot Christmas Card swaps

P9280018_edited-1   One of the fun things we do in my demonstrator group is have a monthly card swap.  Well this month it was my turn to host the swap, and our theme was Christmas cards.  This is the card I designed – again, another example from my Big Shot!  Colors are Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and White.  And it was quite an endeaver to get any glitter to show up in the photo at all, but even though you can see it a little bit, you really can't see as much as there is.  Both the blue snowflake and the word "Joy" are all glittered up.

The second picture is all the cards I made for the swap.  (And unfortunately I could hardly get the glitter to show at *all* in that picture!)
