Valentine Bitty Box

2010-Feb-12-009

I'm very excited this evening – looking forward to our triannual Sea to Sea Stampers demonstrator group potluck brunch and shoebox swap tomorrow morning!

And presuming that it's late enough in the evening that no one who's attending will still be up and wandering around the internet, I'm going to go ahead and post the project I'll be providing for our shoebox swap.

This little box is made with one of Stampin' Up!®'s exclusive dies (for the Big Shot machine) - "Bitty Box & Envelope".  (Except I didn't use the envelope part for this project.)  The hole in the top was punched with the Full Heart punch, and a wrapped chocolate candy from the grocery store is positioned immediately below – on a Very Vanilla liner. (No, the box isn't really an open-bottom thingie like it kind of appears in the photo, lol!)  I thought for a little while about using a piece of window sheet under the heart-shaped hole, but decided against it; I kinda like the open look this gave.

The little "Love" heart comes from the "I {Heart} Hearts" stamp set ($2 to the Red Cross to benefit Haiti recovery efforts) – then the stamped image was punched out with the new small heart punch.  (Which I absolutely adore, btw!)

Don't you just love Valentines Day?!?  I think I'm going to be a little sad when I put away the pink and red in just another day or so……

But between then and now, we've got some demonstrator fun to share!  Wouldn't you like to join us at our next gathering in May?
