Woo Hoo! I finally finished my Make & Take projects from the Seattle Regional! Actually, the full confession is that I finally STARTED them, lol. Would you believe that all six projects came home that day without their supply packages even so much as slit open?!? Between my nerves about speaking and my excitement about having a group of 11 other demonstrators and guests with me that day, I just couldn't settle down enough to think about stamping at the time. But over these past few days I've finished 'em up – and can now share 'em with y'all.
So here's the first one. It features the "Soft Summer", which is the very first stamp set you'll see when you open the pages of the Occasions Mini Catalog. I loved this stamp set the very first time I laid eyes on it, but at first I determined not to get it anyway. Why? Because it really is kind of similar in style to other sets I already own, and I DO have a lot of flowers, and afterall I WAS getting plenty of other delicious goodies from this Mini…….
But it was of little use to resist. Not only do I love this style of artwork, but I also have a weakness for dogwoods. And watercoloring. Put all that together, and well….. I'll leave it to you to figure out the rest. (And besides, if I hadn't given in, how would I have ever been able to finish my Make & Takes, right?)
This stamp set is actually a two-step set, and I believe the original Make & Take instructions called for the use of the coordinating stamp to add the color. But I had a be a little bit of a rebel and pull out my aqua painter instead. Afterall, that's one of the reasons I sprang for this set in the first place!
If you "need" this stamp set like I did, you can order it here.
