I’m baaaack!

Well I see it’s been exactly one month since I last posted.  Geesh!  I guess it’s about time, isn’t it?  I think I’ve been feeling kinda bad (yes, even guilty) that I haven’t had time to shoot any new pictures to share – but I finally dragged out all my paraphernalia for doing that last night, and now (finally!) have some new samples to upload.  In the meantime, I have ordered a mini "lighting studio" that I’m hopeful will make that whole picture-taking process a little easier and quicker, and that should be arriving sometime next week.  Can’t wait!  🙂

20080417015copy So without any further ado, here are a couple of cards from my series of 3 Stamp-a-Stacks earlier this month.  (My ladies did 5 cards; I’ll probably share an additional sample or two in my upcoming newsletter.)

The apples in this first card come from the Tart & Tangy stamp set in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  They’re stamped in Whisper White Craft ink onto Basic Black cardstock.  Olive ribbon is dyed with Classic ink, and the dotted background behind uses the Lots of Dots jumbo wheel, also from the Occasions Mini.

This card features the hostess gift stamp called "From the Garden" – and I think this is such a glorious20080417016_2  stamp it would be worth submitting a $150 order all by oneself just for the chance to own it!  These colors were accomplished by blending several shades of pastels together, burnishing them into the paper – and then finishing up with additional color applied with blender pen.  It’s hard to see, but the flower’s center glistens with glitter.

There was quite a bit of speculation as to what kind of flower this is?  Several ladies thought it looked like a lily, but I remain unconvinced.  Anyone know for sure?  Drop me a line if you can identify this gorgeous flower.
